Kate Kahu
Kate started working at The Ardmore Vet in 2020, having previously worked in the medical field. She now loves gaining experience working with small animals. She has also become the IT go-to and has day-to-day management of the online shop and new website. In her spare time, she’s interested in both types of horsepower. She works on her car and rides horses whenever she can.

Chelsea Woodbridge
Chelsea has always had a keen interest in helping animals since a young age, so it was only inevitable that she would end up in a career working with them. She gained a Bachelor of Applied Science in Animal Management and Welfare and a Diploma in Veterinary Nursing. She has been working as a vet nurse for 8 years now and enjoys it very much as it is such a rewarding job to be in, and no day is ever the same. She loves being a part of our little team and finds it amazing working with people who truly care and go the extra mile.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending quality time with the people she loves and keeping active, whether it's exploring the great outdoors, hunting, going to the gym, or doing CrossFit. She also enjoys exploring her creative side by doing a little bit of DIY and upcycling furniture. She has a cat named Willow that she loves to the moon and back and tends to spoil her rotten. She thinks that maybe Willow's a bit indifferent about their relationship and only seems to love her around feeding time!
Kim Fryer
Kim graduated from Massey University at the end of 1993. She has worked in both NZ and Australia with companion animals, birds, exotics, and wildlife. In 2004 she became co-owner and manager of a busy practice in Wollongong, NSW, with a focus on all companion species—including birds, rabbits, rodents, ferrets, and reptiles. She has been a consultant vet to small private zoo collections and conservation groups, lectured to avicultural societies, mentored young vets and vet nurses, and been an expert witness for the RSPCA in animal welfare prosecutions. Kim has attained membership in the Australian College of Veterinary Surgeons in Avian Health, a Diploma of Professional Practice Management, and is a certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist. Kim returned to NZ in 2022 with her partner and 4 miniature schnauzers, looking for a quieter lifestyle and to be closer to her parents. She now works part-time only.
